THE FARM
Riddings Farm is a small family-run farm. Rodger has lived on the farm all his life and now, with his partner Joanna, passes on all his lifelong knowledge and skills to their 2 sons Ewan and Aaron.
RIDDINGS FARM
Your accommodation, La’al Riddings, was once a feed store and has been recently converted to the accommodation you are viewing today.

During your stay please be aware of tractors and other farm traffic, also 2 children, our son’s Ewan and Aaron, 4 dogs, 3 working sheepdogs and our family pet Patterdale, Maple (a friendly bunch). As well as numerous cows, sheep, 2 cats, hens and a cockerel.

Please remember this is a working farm so for your own safety we ask that you remain within your garden terrace/car park area and keep any dogs on a lead.
The fell is an excellent space for anyone wishing to take in some fresh air and perfect for dogs as there are no animals on there (except the odd deer, squirrel and bird, oh and the rare adder in the hot weather- so please look out for these especially if you have a dog).
New Life

There is new life all year round on the farm. Our 50+ herd of cattle calve all year round, whereas the lambing season sits from March-April. Lambing 500+ sheep is a crazy time for us, long hours and a lot of hard work, but very rewarding and always exciting to know spring has arrived!

The boys have their own small flock of native Herwick Sheep.

These loveable but pesky creatures are very mischievous. You will often find them wandering where they shouldn't be.
